This is a traditional Anishnabe lodge. We will gather between 8:30 and 10:00 AM, to prepare, and generally get into the lodge around 10:00.
Children are invited with parents to come into the first round.
Men please wear T-shirts and shorts and Sisters, please wear T-shirts and a long skirt.
You’ll need a towel to sit on, a change of clothes, a potluck dish to share, and we ask for reciprocity of at least two armfuls of wood or $60 Per person.
There are four rounds, and we will most likely go for several hours. These things have their own time but typically we are out by two. We will also share pipe ceremony together.
You may leave the lodge at any time, it’s not an endurance contest. Women on their Moon time are welcome into the lodge.
This is a sober event, and we ask that all participants are substance free for at least 48 hours before the lodge.
If you’d like to participate, but have an issue with going into the lodge, you are welcome to help with the fire and just sit outside the lodge. This is considered as powerful and sacred as being inside the lodge. This is our seventh year in offering these lodges after receiving traditional training by an Elder from Canada. This particular lodge is a snake lodge, meaning the essence it holds, is one of transformation. This lodge will carry the theme of seed planting.
